Scottish White Fish Directors met with Fisheries Minister Richard Lochhead in Fraserburgh at his recent tour of the ports, a range of important issues were discussed. (1st August 2007)

The Advisory Committee for Fisheries Management (ACFM)  which is a working group of the International Conference for Exploration of the Seas (ICES) is meeting in Copenhagen this week to discuss the latest stock science.  Mike Park who is  representing the North Sea Regional Advisory Council as an observer at the meeting captured these images prior to the start. Fishing leaders from North and South of the border met department officials in London on the Friday 18th. The meeting was used  for listing  issues arising from  last years December Fisheries Council but more importantly the industries mid year priorities for next year. (21st May 2007)

ICES scientists gathered in Gdynia, this week to assess the reference points of stocks such as North Seas Cod and Herring.  Previously held behind closed doors, this meeting was open to limited Indsutry participation.  Mike Park is representing SWFPA at the week long session.
